What is Biometric security access control?
Biometrics is the technical term for body measurements and calculations. It refers to metrics related to human characteristics. Biometrics are becoming more common within access control security as people understand the benefits.
Traditional methods of access control systems include token-based identification systems such as Key fobs , and knowledge-based identification systems, such as a password or a PIN (Personal identification number). Biometric access control systems use identifiers that are unique to each individual, they can be more reliable in verifying identity than more commonly used access control systems. They are not for every security environment and this is where the correct advice is needed beforehand.
Eclectic Security work closely with several partners in the security industry and can provide advice when a client is considering a Biometric access control security system and through our partners we can source and provide an installation tailored to each individuals particular needs.
